Starting my career as a teenager in a Boiler Making apprenticeship I have worked and experienced most forms of structural steel fabrication.
Progressing to site works for domestic housing where I developed a huge knowledge on steel purpose in houses and how it interacts with other trades, spending a lot of time doing variation works and rectification works for steel at late frame stages and at pre plaster stages.
I have taken the initiative to engage in the drafting and design elements of residential steel work applying my prior learning into practice with the vision of getting jobs right from the beginning.
For 10 years I have been leading MS Steel Erections, delivering on residential projects time and time again; both supply & install and installations for other suppliers.
I have upskilled in up to date job & project management software skills to lead and control the timelines of projects.
I am very excited to get back into supply and installation now after developing my skillset in the areas I know I was lacking in.
This time moving forward I am priding myself on being able to finally deliver start to finish inhouse.
My goals and ambitions are to lead the team at MSSE
I am Jason, and my journey in the construction industry commenced at the age of 17 when I began my apprenticeship as a carpenter, specializing in framing. Over the years, I honed my skills and became a qualified carpenter.
An opportunity arose for me to join MS Steel, where I initially engaged in fundamental site works. Through dedication and hard work, I expanded my knowledge within the steel industry. Combining my background in carpentry with this newfound expertise, I discovered a fresh passion for construction.
Five years later, I have ascended to the role of Operations Manager at MS Steel. It has been a fulfilling journey marked by growth and learning.
From my early days swinging hammers to overseeing operations, I have acquired a comprehensive understanding of the construction realm. Witnessing projects come to fruition, piece by piece, brings me immense satisfaction.
